Ralph "Raw Will" Williams
I ventured into music late in life and just by chance, as an old school Graphic Designer/Video Editor. My late Dad Ralph Sr., and two of his friends Carrol Washington, and Joseph Broussard wrote the hit song Mr. Big Stuff back in the Early 70's. It was sung by the late Jean Knight. It's been in many movies and shows like; Family Guy, The Simpsons, on the soundtrack of many feature films. Many Artists sampled it and kept it current. Including "Switch," by TLC; Everclear's "AM Radio"; the Beastie Boys' "Johnny Ryall'; and John Legend's "Who Do We Think We Are."
I create music that is raw emotion and ethereal. It's a collaboration with random sounds as motifs and the cultural vibe. I believe sound is as close to feeling as color is to mood. My music is meat to be cinematic. Inspirational like a theme song to a chapter in your life.
I developed my natural rhythm from listening, and dancing to my mother playing Soul music back in my early years. Thanks Mom!
